6LoWPAN/ZigBeeIP

The Perytons™ Protocol Analyzer decodes the 6LoWPAN layer, analyzes the IP fields and upper layers such as UDP, TCP, DHCP, DNS and others. Application layers as HTML and XML are also decoded. The analysis views combine the images, style sheets, java scripts and flash content into the actual HTML page sent and builds a display of the expected result in an integrated friendly browser window. XML content is tested against the schema files (XSD) if available and errors or problems are clearly shown. The resulting IP messages that has been reconstructed by the analyzer, can be then easily exported to external standard IP analysis tools such as WireShark.

6LoWPAN - 802.15 ZigBee, ZigBeeIP and ZSE 2.0

'Internet of Things' - analyzing 6LoWPAN and ZigBeeIP networks with the Perytons Analyzer

The lately defined 6LoWPAN and ZigBeeIP are becoming an appealing communication protocol for wireless sensor networks communication by combining the many benefits of IP based applications and protocols with the low power and communication link efficiency which are mandatory in such networks.

While there are many tools in the market for analyzing wired IP as well as WiFi networks, none of these tools support 6LoWPAN with its unique RF and MAC layers.

Researches, developers and system integrators looking to design and implement 6LoWPAN wireless sensor networks lack a professional yet intuitive and easy to use analysis tool.

The topology of the wireless sensor network is automatically discovered, built in real-time and displayed in the relevant Network Topology View.

The resulting IP messages that has been reconstructed by the analyzer, can be then easily exported to external standard IP analysis tools such as WireShark.

Perytons' keeps following the 6LoWPAN and ZigBee IP standardization efforts so that newly defined features and layers get quickly implemented into the analyzer, letting the users being up to date with the latest standard features.
