DASH7 Sniffer for Network and Protocol Analysis
The ISO/IEC 18000-7 standard, also referred to as
DASH7 , is a multi-vendor, wireless control protocol. Especially designed for long range wireless networks, the DASH7 protocol involves parameters like: dynamically adjustable range from 10 meters to 10 kilometers, less than1 milliwatt power draw, dynamically adjustable data rate from 28kbps to 200kbps, 433 MHz frequency band, signal propagation that penetrates walls, concrete, water and 128-bit AES public key encryption.
Members of the DASH7 alliance include big as well as start-up companies and
universities & technological institutes that take part in promoting the DASH7
standard.
In parallel of the DASH7 protocol development and in order to provide companies
and developers with appropriate tools, the Peryton-D7 sniffer is the first
and only DASH7 analyzer in the market. It is an indispensable tool for
development, integration, installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting systems
and products based on the DASH7 Mode2 protocol. Perytons™ Protocol Analyzers combine full
coverage of the different Channel Classes and Spectrum IDs defined by the
standard with a rich and user-friendly analysis toolbox.

Analyzer, the user benefits from the Perytons™ Protocol Analyzer enhanced features. |
Single-channel networks analysis |
 |
|
The DASH7 protocol defines 5
Channel Classes (Base, Legacy, Normal, High-Rate and Blink) and 19 possible
Spectrum IDs, each with either background or foreground modes. All covered by
the Peryton-D7 analyzer model. Perytons™ Protocol Analyzers for DASH7 Mode2 also enable setting
advanced RF parameters like whitening, FEC and Manchester settings.

Big picture perspective
|
 |
|
A
unique Time View provides a two-dimensional message chart over time for an
intuitive overview of processes and transactions taking place across the
network. The vertical axis displays messages by channel, device ID, or protocol
layer,
making it much easier and faster to recognize and understand processes and
transactions.[read

For Network Layer analysis, Perytons™ Protocol Analyzers offer an easy-to-understand network view
displaying different devices, their type, the relations between them, and mesh
communication connections. The user can attach free-text notes to devices of
choice and thus emphasize specific attention needs and requirements. |
Ease of use
|
 |
|
| Rich graphical interface
requiring minimal text input provides an intuitive user experience with minimal
training and a short learning curve. Perytons™ Protocol Analyzers display the “meaning
behind the bits” with informative screen tips explaining the field and its
current value as defined by the standard. |
Ease of sharing |
| The Perytons™ Protocol Analyzers allow the
user to save full analyzer states as a workspace file to share configurations
and scenarios of interest with colleagues, vendors, or the back office. |
Flexibility
|
 |
|
| With the Open Source Rules the user can enhance capabilities
of the Perytons™ Protocol Analyzer in different dimensions like unattended monitoring of live-networks; change the look and feel of the existing views
(time, message, network, etc.), definition of customizable statistic charts, interconnection to external
applications through numerous communication ports and protocols, events and alarms sent via e-mail and more.

Sophistication
|
 |
|
| A sophisticated, feature-rich
toolbox helps identify and analyze problematic scenarios, using charts that
summarize properties of captured data, flexible data export tools, and various
detailed search tools for identifying messages by the value or appearance of a
field or hierarchy of fields. Messages can also be compared with one another for
detailed analysis or sorted by a variety of indexes. |
Easily create and save your own messages
|
|
 |
|
With the Peryton-Traffic Generator Add-On the
user can easily create his own messages based on the definable fields defined in
the standard and save them into message templates and files. This feature can
tremendously add to the robustness of module development and allows to quickly
prepare the modules and networks for deployment.
|
Add your own protocol
|
|
 |
|
Perytons™ Protocol Analyzers allow the user to add his
own application or protocol running over any of the existing protocol layers,
enhancing productivity and gaining a valuable marketing and support tool,
completely customized for user unique needs.
