Perytons analyzers product suite:
Perytons protocol analyzers
are an indispensable tool for wireless and wireline networks development,
integration, installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Whether involved in applications like Automatic Meter Reading, Smart Energy,
Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems as well as other mesh
network related infrastructures, the Perytons protocol analyzers are critical
for all stages of a product’s development cycle and for smooth network operation
Supporting a variety of standard communications protocols as well as
customization for customers' proprietary protocols, with easy to learn,
intuitive, user interface, makes the Perytons analyzers a tool of choice for
developers, QA engineers, technical support and system integrators.
The Perytons analyzers support the following standard protocols:
 |
IEEE 802.15.4
|
| |
Capture and analyze IEEE 802.15.4 2003 and
IEEE 802.15.4 2006 MAC traffic in the 2.4Ghz and SubGhz band. Allowing for simultaneous
multiple channel capture, use of antenna diversity, beacon slot display etc.

All Perytons products share the same architecture, assuring compatibility and
easy upgrades as your business needs grow.
All analyzers share the same analyzer core, tools and GUI including:
|
Big picture perspective |
 |
|
A
unique Time View provides a two-dimensional message chart over time for an
intuitive overview of processes and transactions taking place across the
network. The vertical axis displays messages by channel, device ID, or PAN ID,
making it much easier and faster to recognize and understand processes and
transactions.[read

For Network Layer analysis, Perytons offers an easy-to-understand network view
displaying different devices, their type, the relations between them, and mesh
communication routes. This view displays information on devices received
directly by the analyzer as well as other devices detected through decoding
their messages (such as routes, neighbor lists, or coordinator messages). |
Ease of use |
 |
|
| Rich graphical interface
requiring minimal text input provides an intuitive user experience with minimal
training and a short learning curve. Perytons analyzers display the “meaning
behind the bits” with informative screen tips explaining the field and its
current value as defined by the relevant standard. |
Ease of sharing |
| The Perytons analyzers allow the user
to save full analyzer states as a workspace file to share configurations and
scenarios of interest colleagues, vendors, or the back office. |
Flexibility |
 |
|
With the Open Source Rules the user can enhance capabilities
of the analyzer in different dimensions like monitoring of live-networks; change the look and feel of the existing views
(time, message, network,
etc.), definition of customizable statistic charts, interconnection to external applications through
numerous communication ports and protocols, e-mail, etc., and more. |
Sophistication |
 |
|
| A sophisticated, feature-rich
toolbox helps identify and analyze problematic scenarios, using charts that
summarize properties of captured data, flexible data export tools, and various
detailed search tools for identifying messages by the value or appearance of a
field or hierarchy of fields. Messages can also be compared with one another for
detailed analysis or sorted by a variety of indexes. |
Multi-channel networks analysis |
 |
|
While the free licensed 2.4GHz
band is gaining use by more and more applications and protocols, there is an
increasing demand of using multi-channel protocols. Along with that a
sophisticated tool that allows simultaneous analysis of the channels plays an
important role when trying to develop, deploy and optimize such networks. The
802.15.4 PHY defines 16 possible communication channels in the 2.4Ghz ISM band.
Perytons analyzers capture multiple channels simultaneously, enabling the
analysis of dynamic processes such as “active scan” multiple networks operating
in the same environment, or rogue devices which transmit on the wrong channel.

Reliability |
| Especially when dealing with
tough RF environments, the analysis tool used should reflect the actual network
situation through the data it captures. The Perytons analyzers are unique in the
use of antenna diversity techniques, providing superior reliability through
reducing the number packets lost due to RF indoor multi-path propagation
conditions, and reducing interference from up to 15% to less than 0.1%.

Test your system with a predefined scenarios |
 |
|
| Perytons analyzers allow the user to test the
system response to predefined scenarios. With the traffic generator add-on, the
user can edit message fields to create the desired content, build messages into
a new data file, transmit this file over the air (with additional USB dongle)
and analyze the system under test replies.
