Perytons Launches DASH7 Mode 2 Protocol Analyzer
Tel-Aviv, Israel – February 27, 2012
After joining the DASH7 alliance in August 2011, Perytons announced today the release of its new Peryton-D7 for sniffing and analyzing DASH7 communications. The Peryton-D7 uses a Texas Instruments 433MHz front-end to receive the DASH7 Mode 2 network packets. The received packets are analyzed in detail using the powerful features included in the Perytons Protocol Analyzers family of products; i.e. showing messages along time, detailed Network Topology, graphical, tabular and hierarchical views of message data as well as Statistic Graphs and sophisticated tools like User Defined Scripts and Edit/Save messages.
“We see increasing interest in the need of implementations on networks that can make use of the advantages of the DASH7 standard” said Rubi Elbirt – VP Business Development and International Sales at Perytons. “We have put intensive efforts in releasing the Peryton-D7 on time in order to provide DASH7 developers and users with a powerful tool that can help companies to be ready in the market quickly and with a robust product that meets the protocol standards.”.
“The Peryton-D7 is a timely addition to a growing array of tools available to DASH7 developers” said Patrick Burns, President of the DASH7 Alliance. “DASH7 is the most open wireless sensor networking standard in the world and tools to help bring interoperable products to market more quickly are high on the list of developer needs today.”
The Peryton-D7 first release model supports single channel capture and the different Channel Classes, Spectrum IDs and RF settings defined in the standard. On top of the Peryton-D7 the user can also run any of the Perytons add-on modules including: Peryton-Monitoring Add-On for writing User Defined Scripts and include additional flexible features into the analyzer environment; The Peryton-Traffic Generation Add-On (TG) for editing and saving messages and message templates can lso be integrated with the Peryton-D7 and the Perytons SDK for adding customized layers and protocols
A special discount is planned during the introduction period and for DASH7 alliance members. Contact Perytons sales for details.
