Perytons Releases PRIME PLC Protocol Analyzer

Perytons Ltd. announced today the release of its new Peryton-PLC Protocol Analyzer for sniffing Power Line Communications PRIME (PoweRline Intelligent Metering Evolution) networks.
Provided along with a PRIME capable front-end, the Peryton-PLC for PRIME allows users to capture, and analyze packets while exploiting the tools, features and options included in the traditional Perytons™ Protocol Analyzer wireless product line.

Along with the additional sophisticated features included in the Perytons™ Analyzer Protocol engine as standard, the Peryton-PLC for PRIME is essential for deploying and optimizing PLC based networks and helps tremendously to achieve robust product development ” – added Rubi.

The current is a BETA release of the Peryton-PLC for PRIME. Additional features like PRIME traffic generator, support of deciphering encrypted messages are being developed and are expected to be released in the coming version.

Peryton-Scripting (for writing user defined Scripts) as well as the SDK Add-Ons are compatible to run on top of the Peryton-PLC for PRIME analyzer. Support for additional PLC protocols such as G3, HomePlug CC and IEEE P1901.2 (pending availability of relevant front-end modules) are part of the Peryton-PLC road map.

Telegesis and Perytons announce high precision 802.15 ZigBee Traffic Generation using the ETRX3USB dongles

London, UK and Tel-Aviv, Israel – December 4th., 2012 – Telegesis and Perytons announced today the addition of the ETRX3USB dongles to the Perytons Analyzers supported list of front-end devices

“Cooperating with new partners is not just about enriching our compatible front-end list and providing additional options to our customers, but also allow us to include additional features and options to the current and road-map of our wireless analyzers line” said Rubi Elbirt – VP Business Development and International Sales of Perytons Ltd. “The Telegesis ETRX3USB dongles are compatible with our full line of wireless sensor network analyzers, from single-channel, through diversity models and through the multi-channel analyzer models. Perytons announces the Perytons Network Visibility for remote Home Automation and Smart Energy sensor networks monitoring and diagnostics

Perytons Ltd. announced today its new Network Visibility line of products. The new product line is aimed for service providers and operators installing and maintaining nation wide ZigBee or narrow-band PLC networks for applications such as home automation, smart energy and commercial building automation.

By nature, such networks are built-up in a way that local network/s are part of regional or nationwide multi-network implementations.
The remote networks typically use multi-vendor equipment, implementing fast evolving standards and have no technical experts on site – yet the aim is that all would be part of the Internet Of Things value chain.

Whether based on wireless or narrow-band wire-line PLC protocols, system integrators as well as solution and service providers require sophisticated diagnostics and monitoring tools that enable them, among others, to provide and meet Service Level commitments. Perytons releases its Bluetooth Smart Protocol Analyzer suite

Perytons Ltd. announced today its new line of products aimed for sniffing and analyzing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communications.

Based on the industry known Perytons analysis core, the Peryton-Smart and Peryton-Smart3 are single/multi connection analyzers aimed for Bluetooth Low Energy (also known as Bluetooth 4.0).

“While people tend to perceive Bluetooth Low Energy as a derivative of the classic, legacy, Bluetooth, it is actually a different protocol, with different community of developers aiming for different markets and applications.” said Yaron Soffer – Perytons Founder and CEO. “Unlike classic Bluetooth that requires special, expensive capture hardware, for Bluetooth Low Energy we are able to use standard, off-the-shelf capture hardware as the analyzer RF/PHY front-ends. The Peryton-Smart product line incorporates all the analysis features of the market leading Perytons ZigBee line of products. This includes Time View showing messages timing along the time axis which is used for frequency hopping and timing measurements as well as to get a quick view of the transactions, the Network View which auto-discovers the network elements and connections between them, Message and Message Tree views presenting the message fields down to the bit level and Message Sequence showing transactions between devices – all with inter-views synchronization features allowing to dissect data from different perspectives and dimensions.

The built in toolbox allows performing enhanced searching, filtering, hiding elements from view, showing statistics on the received data (e.g. channel activity, retransmissions per channels, etc.), Scripting and Message Simulation add-ons and much more. The tools and views were specially adjusted to fit the Bluetooth 4.0 protocol by highlighting retransmission, following the frequency hopping sequence etc.
